St. Helena CA junior Harper McClain won the girls varsity 2-mile large school race in 11:40.8 at the 35th Ed Sias Invitational at Hidden Valley Park in Martinez, Calif. McClain, who competes in North Coast Section Division 5, ran the ninth-fastest time in meet history in her high school cross country debut.
